The Problem
I've written before about setting up a WSUS server to deliver Windows Updates in your local domain. However, if you're trying out Windows 8 in your domain with a WSUS server you will find the Updates fail with the code 800B0001 if checking via WSUS or 80246003 when downloading from online.
The Solution
You can setup a Windows 2012 Server and install the WSUS role downstream of your existing one to deliver the updates to the Windows 8 machines (as per this thread).
